POSITION IN BIOPHOTONICS AND MOLECULAR EVOLUTION
Postdoctoral fellow position will be available on the NIH grant in the lab of Prof. Vladislav Verkhusha (http://asb.aecom.yu.edu/) at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine (http://www.aecom.yu.edu/home/overview.asp) starting June 1 or later. Experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, fluorescence spectroscopy and microscopy is desirable but not necessary. Medical insurance is absolutely free and very competitive. Postdoctoral salary corresponds to the NIH standards. The subsidized apartment and car parking space are available. The School is located 30 min from Manhattan with hundreds of museums, theaters and cultural activities. The long-term goal of our laboratory is the development of a collection of the chromophore-containing molecular probes and biosensors based on new multicolor fluorescent proteins to be employed for analysis, manipulation and modification of biochemical processes in living cells. The laboratory is actively supported by the Analytical Imaging Facility http://www.aecom.yu.edu/aif/, the Flow Cytometry Facility http://www.aecom.yu.edu/facs/, the Fluorescent Proteins Resource Center http://asb.aecom.yu.edu/fluorescent and the Biophotonics Center.
